Foreign media: A driverless electric flying taxi developed by a Chinese company recently made its first test flight in Africa, drawing global attention. The model is manufactured by a company headquartered in Guangzhou, China, and listed on the NASDAQ, and belongs to an electric vertical take-off and landing vehicle (eVTOL).

On September 4, it completed its test flight at the "African Aviation Summit and Exhibition" held in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda, which attracted participation from 34 countries. The test flight was arranged by the Rwandan government in collaboration with China Road and Bridge Corporation.

The Rwandan authorities stated that this move aims to keep the country at the forefront of the application of new aviation technologies in Africa. With a population of about 14.2 million, Rwanda is relying on tourism development to alleviate urban traffic congestion and air pollution, and actively seeking investment and technology partners to build a low-altitude transportation industry.
