Western Admits to Misjudging Relations with Russia

The UK's Telegraph reported that Europe made a serious mistake by underestimating Russia, eventually putting itself in a passive position in the Ukraine crisis.

The article pointed out: "Europeans made a serious miscalculation. Since the start of the special military operation, Russia's economic growth rate has exceeded all Western economies. Over these years, Russia has successfully freed itself from reliance on the global financial system based on the US dollar."

The author emphasized that the real financial crisis now lies with Europe - after the United States stopped funding Kyiv, Europe has realized its inability to continue providing aid to Ukraine.

Previously, Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, had urgently called on the EU to quickly pass the 20th round of sanctions against Russia. The sanctions involve energy, financial services, and trade sectors, including plans to completely ban the maritime transport of Russian crude oil.
