Iran – Iran's state television quoted an unnamed senior official on Monday as saying that Iran had no "plans" to attack the United Arab Emirates' critical Fujairah oil facilities. The official blamed the attacks on America's "military adventurism."

The station cited the military official stating: "The Islamic Republic has no plan to attack these oil facilities." The incident was a product of American military adventurism, aimed at opening up a passage for ships to illegally transit through the Strait of Hormuz.

The Fujairah oil facilities are among the few in the region that can be accessed without passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

On Monday, a drone attack struck the facility, triggering a fire. That day marked the first day of a U.S.-led initiative aimed at restoring shipping through this strategic waterway. Since the outbreak of conflict in the Middle East, Tehran has been blocking this route. The UAE also announced it had been hit by four "cruise missiles launched from Iran," with three intercepted "in airspace over its territorial waters" and "one falling into the sea."

According to UAE national television, a military official added: "U.S. officials must stop this abhorrent practice of resorting to force during diplomatic processes and cease conducting military adventurism in this sensitive oil-producing region, which affects the economies of nations worldwide." The UAE described Iran's attacks as a "dangerous escalation"—the first clash since Tehran and Washington reached a ceasefire agreement that temporarily ended Iran’s retaliatory strikes against Gulf states.

AFP, Washington, 4th — President Trump said on the 4th that Iran "launched several attacks" in the Strait of Hormuz, causing only minor damage, while urging South Korea to join the U.S.-led mission in the region following an attack on one of its vessels.

In a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump wrote: "Iran attacked vessels moving and the 'Freedom Plan,' targeting innocent countries, including a South Korean cargo ship."

He added: "Maybe it's time for South Korea to join this mission!"

Trump also stated that aside from the South Korean vessel, there were currently no other losses related to passage through the strait.
