Sputnik, Beijing, December 23 - Russian Ambassador to China Igor Morgulov said on the 23rd that the details of building a Russia-China natural gas pipeline through Mongolian territory are currently being studied.

Morgulov told the faculty and students of the University of People's Republic of China during a lecture held at the university: "The details of building a Russia-China natural gas pipeline through Mongolian territory are currently being studied, and this pipeline will be able to supply natural gas to Chinese consumers for many years to come."

According to him, the cooperation between Russia and China in the field of energy has strategic significance.
