Houthi Forces: Will Attack Any Vessel Owned by Companies Cooperating with Israeli Ports
The spokesperson of the Houthi movement, "Ansar Allah" (Houthi Forces), a Shia military and political movement ruling northern Yemen, Yahya Sareya said that they will attack any vessel owned by companies cooperating with Israeli ports, regardless of its destination or nationality.
Yahya stated in a statement: "The armed forces of Yemen warn all companies that from the moment this statement is issued, they must stop cooperation with the enemy country Israel's ports, otherwise your vessels will be attacked at any location where our missiles and drones can reach, regardless of their destination."
Yahya said that these measures by the Houthi Forces are the "fourth stage" of the Israeli maritime blockade against the situation in the Gaza Strip. Yahya emphasized that they will attack these vessels, regardless of their nationality.
The Houthi Forces control most of the Red Sea coast in Yemen. Previously, they have expressed support for Palestine, and have prepared to attack any vessels associated with Israel, calling on other countries to recall the crew members on such vessels and not to approach such vessels at sea. The Houthi Forces also stated that they will not hinder regional freedom of navigation and will not attack vessels of other countries. Some companies, fearing attacks, have decided to suspend transportation through the Red Sea.
