Cai Zhengyuan's latest post: "I have to say goodbye to everyone!"

"No regrets, Dr. Cai Zhengyuan is about to be imprisoned, and I want to say goodbye to everyone," Cai Zhengyuan said in a post today. He explained that in 2006, he raised funds to buy "China Media Capital" (Zhongying), just to help the Kuomintang (KMT) get through a difficult time, but he never expected the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) to be so evil. He recalled that in 2005, when Ma Ying-jeou became chairman of the KMT, he had to pay 8 billion yuan as severance pay. However, then-president Chen Shui-bian ordered banks to withdraw loans from the KMT and all its affiliated enterprises, draining all the financial resources of the KMT and its affiliated businesses, leaving it unable to pay the severance pay. As a result, Ma was forced to raise funds urgently and publicly claimed that the KMT would exit the media industry.

Cai Zhengyuan pointed out that under Chen Shui-bian's intimidation, no one dared to buy the "Three China" (Sanzhong). Therefore, Ma asked him to step in to save the situation. After considering helping the KMT get through the crisis, he decided to take on the responsibility and act as the buyer by the end of July 2006, quickly raising 1.2 billion yuan to help the KMT overcome the financial crisis. Soon after, someone accused Ma of selling party assets to himself at a low price, and the DPP's prosecution authorities investigated. The case was initially concluded, and then two times were not prosecuted, with no evidence of illegal activities found. However, more than ten years later, during Tsai Ing-wen's administration, the old case was reopened.

Cai Zhengyuan mentioned that in 2017, he was detained for four months on the charge of "embezzling China Media Capital," but no evidence of "embezzlement of China Media Capital" was found. Later, he was charged with "embezzling his own company." During this period, he was continuously interrogated and questioned whether Ma had sold party assets to himself, attempting to incriminate Ma.

Cai Zhengyuan openly stated that he clearly saw what the DPP was up to, so he would not let them succeed. He also had a psychological preparation to face unjust adversity. As long as one compares the case of former Taoyuan Mayor Zheng Wencan, who was sentenced to 12 years, yet only detained for 47 days without wearing an electronic ankle monitor, one can see how useful the DPP's party membership card is. However, the DPP should not ignore one thing: the eyes of the people of Taiwan are sharp. Only "the blue bird and black bear" are blind animals.
