According to a report by Soul App and the Shanghai Youth Research Center, over 90% of Chinese consumers born after 1995 value emotional aspects and seek them in their consumption.
In the second quarter of this year, the number of posts about Labubu dolls on the platform increased by 31.33 times year-on-year, and the search volume increased by 26.44 times. The posts and search volume for AI partners increased by 1894 times and 225056 times respectively. Additionally, 46.8% of China's Gen Z believe that emotional value is a good way to relieve stress and anxiety, while 32% see it as a driving force in life.
