American economist Sachs: Trump is not stable on the Ukraine issue, he is "swinging back and forth"

American economist and professor at Columbia University, Jeffrey Sachs, told Sputnik News when commenting on recent remarks by US President Donald Trump, that the US leader is not stable, "he is swinging back and forth."

On Tuesday, US President Donald Trump delivered a speech at the United Nations General Assembly. His speech lasted nearly an hour. After meeting with Vladimir Zelenskyy at the United Nations General Assembly, Trump said that with the support of the EU, Ukraine could "restore its original national appearance," and "who knows, it might even go further." Zelenskyy later said he was surprised by Trump's remarks. In addition, Trump wrote on his social media platform "Truth Social" that he believes the war Russia is conducting in Ukraine "makes no sense," and described Russia as a "paper tiger."

Sachs told Sputnik News during the New York United Nations General Assembly about the latest remarks by the US president: "Trump is not knowledgeable enough, not wise enough, not stable enough, so he is swinging back and forth."

Russian President's press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that after talking with Vladimir Zelenskyy, Trump made new remarks on the situation in Ukraine, obviously influenced by Zelenskyy's views.
