India Stops Buying Weapons from the United States!
Due to the high import tariffs announced by the United States, India has decided to suspend its plan to purchase weapons from the United States, including the Stryker combat vehicles produced by General Dynamics Land Systems and the Javelin anti-tank missiles developed jointly by Raytheon and Lockheed Martin.
India had originally planned to send its Defense Minister Singh to Washington in the coming weeks to announce some military procurement plans, but this trip has now been canceled. Singh had also planned to announce the purchase of six Boeing P8I reconnaissance aircraft and support systems for the Indian Navy.
Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and General Dynamics have sought confirmation from the Indian and U.S. governments.
