Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that there is a need to rapidly and significantly increase the output of the most popular air defense systems.

Speaking during an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin, Putin said: "The top priority is to rapidly and substantially increase the production of the most popular air defense systems. Continuously improving them according to military operation requirements, protecting relevant targets, and taking into account the equipment used by the enemy—equipment that includes new drones and advanced technologies supplied by Europe."

Putin added: "We indeed have all these protective measures. The issue lies in accelerating production and the speed of supplying these systems to the armed forces, or in protecting key infrastructure."
