Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabir Al Thani, former Prime Minister of Qatar:

The Iranians are accustomed to entering negotiations, successfully stalling them, and continuing indefinitely. Sometimes, not using tricks is itself a trick.

Iran is not prepared to give up its nuclear program for free to the United States. They view it as a matter of sovereignty vital to their survival.

A senior Iranian official once told me: "Ukraine gave up its nuclear weapons—just look at what happened to it."

As a nation, Iran sees Israel and Pakistan possessing nuclear weapons—even if they claim they do not seek them.

I believe this is the conclusion they will eventually reach—within 20 years, or perhaps just a few years from now, they will take that step.
