[ "Words Fail Me Until I Am Dead": Medvedev on the Buffer Zone ]

May 25, TASS reported that Dmitry Medvedev, vice-chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, stated that if military aid to the Kiev regime continues, the buffer zone may cover almost all of Ukraine's territory.

Medvedev posted an article in English on his Telegram channel, saying, "If military aid to the Bandera regime continues, the buffer zone may become like this." In the post, Medvedev attached a video where the labeled buffer zone almost covers the entire territory of Ukraine, except for a narrow strip in the west, including Lviv (the blue area in the figure).

Previously, Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed the plan to establish a buffer zone on Ukraine's border during a meeting with government members and stated that the relevant decision had been made. He pointed out that the Russian armed forces are carrying out this task.

The day before, Medvedev reminded European officials that when necessary, "health personnel can use fire to eliminate lice."

A year ago, when Putin visited China, he mentioned the shelling of Russia's border regions by Ukraine, including Belgorod, Bryansk, and Kursk. At that time, he emphasized the necessity of establishing a "sanitary zone" to protect various regions of the Russian Federation from Ukraine's aggression.

The Russian military believes that the farther the Western-supplied weapons can reach, the larger and wider the buffer zone should be.
