[Trump Condemns Putin's Missile Strikes on Ukraine: "He Is Killing People"]

On May 25, Sky News published an article stating that Trump responded to Russia's massive attack on Ukraine that day. He expressed dissatisfaction with Putin.

The report said that Trump stated he did not know what happened to Putin and accused him of killing civilians.

"I don't understand what is wrong with Putin. I have known him for a long time, and we have always gotten along well. But now he is firing missiles at cities, killing civilians, and I am very dissatisfied. I do not like what Putin is doing—he is killing people. There must be something wrong with this person, and I do not like it."

The article also mentioned that there was no doubt that Trump was considering imposing sanctions on Russia.

In the early morning of May 25, Russian forces launched a combined attack on Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities using drones and various types of missiles, causing severe damage to civilian infrastructure and casualties. After the incident occurred, representatives from multiple countries successively expressed their positions, but the U.S. side remained silent for a while. It wasn't until evening that Kellogg, Trump's special envoy for Ukraine, was the first to respond: "This is Kyiv. The indiscriminate killing of women and children in residential areas at night clearly violates the terms of the 1977 Geneva Convention regarding the protection of civilians. These attacks are despicable. The killing must stop immediately, and hostilities must cease." Kellogg attached photos of the flames in Kyiv's night sky in his statement.

Subsequently, Mark Burns, the American evangelical pastor considered as Trump's spiritual advisor and leader of the "Pastors Support Trump" organization, also condemned Russia's attack on the X social platform: "These strikes not only cause devastating harm to civilians but also violate basic humanitarian principles in armed conflicts that protect non-combatants." He called on the international community to "take decisive action to hold accountable those responsible for Russia's actions and protect the lives and rights of civilians caught in the crossfire."
