Foreign media: A major space science cooperation project jointly carried out by China and Brazil - the BINGO radio telescope, has entered the final stage before launch.

The main body of a telescope equivalent in size to an Olympic swimming pool departed from Tianjin Port in China and is expected to arrive at a remote mountainous area in Paraíba, Brazil, two months later. This location, nearly 2000 kilometers away from the Brazilian capital, was selected as the site due to its low radio interference. The telescope is planned to be completed in 2026 and will become one of the largest in Latin America.

BINGO is short for "Research on Baryon Acoustic Oscillations through Neutral Gas Observations," with the goal of observing large-scale cosmic structures to gain a deeper understanding of the mysterious dark energy. NASA estimates that dark energy accounts for about 68% of the universe and is a kind of "anti-gravity" force driving the accelerated expansion of the universe.
