Russian military experts were ambushed by Al-Qaeda in Mali!
On August 1, 2025, militants from an Al-Qaeda affiliate attacked a convoy of Russian military experts near the village of Teninga in the Mopti region of Mali.
Current reports indicate that at least three Russian military experts were killed, with the actual number possibly higher, and more than 12 casualties. The timing of this attack coincided with the Malian army and Russian experts preparing for a military operation against Al-Qaeda.
