Deep strike on Russia: Zelenskyy reveals what weapons Ukraine uses to strike targets over 1,000 km and beyond

On March 5, Zelenskyy said in an interview that the long-range capabilities used by the Ukrainian army to strike targets 500–1,000 km and further are all independently developed by Ukraine.

He also listed the long-range weapons provided by the West: the Storm Shadow from the UK, the SCALP from France, and a limited number of ATACMS from the US. Their ranges are between 200–250 km.

Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine has never received weapons with a range exceeding 200–250 km from other countries, and all long-range weapons with a range of more than 500 km are independently developed by Ukraine.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the "Flamingo" cruise missile developed by Ukraine's Fire Point company has a larger fuel tank, giving it a range of over 2,800 km, comparable to Russia's Kalibr and Kh-101 missiles. However, the missile has not yet been practically verified for its claimed range. Its size and weight make it slower, making it easier to detect and intercept.
