U.S. President Trump stated that he has urged Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu to limit strikes on Lebanon to precision targeting.
Trump told Axios, an American news website: "I told Netanyahu he needs to carry out more precise operations—no need to flatten buildings. This kind of action is too terrible and harms Israel’s image."
Despite the ongoing ceasefire agreement, Israeli aircraft and artillery continue to strike southern Lebanon daily.

Mohammed Shuqair, President of the Lebanese Confederation of Industry and Commerce, told media that Lebanon's economy faces direct and indirect losses of between $150 million and $160 million per day due to the ongoing conflict with Israel.
On April 29, after concluding talks with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, Shuqair said: "The estimated daily direct and indirect losses caused by the war are between $150 million and $160 million."
Shuqair noted that the business community hopes for a stabilization of the situation and expressed support for the government’s efforts to end the conflict with Israel.
The ceasefire mechanism between Lebanon and Israel officially came into effect on April 16, but Israel continues to conduct daily attacks on southern Lebanon.
The Lebanese group Hezbollah stated it responds to violations of the agreement by Israel through attacks on Israeli military targets along the border, emphasizing that its actions are defensive in nature.
