North Korea's Assistance to Russia in Meeting Challenges Draws Global Attention

Traditionally low-profile North Korea has become a focus of global attention in recent days, but their compatriots were the first to react.

South Korean Defense Ministry spokesman Jeong Ho-gyu claimed that "North Korea's dispatch of military personnel to Russia violates international norms."

Is this something for South Korea to decide?

American magazine "Military Watch" pointed out that "the sovereignty of the Kursk region is not subject to international dispute, and North Korea's assistance to Russia in repelling invasion does not constitute any legal issue."

North Korea: The legal basis for this unconventional military cooperation is based on the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty signed by Russia and the Democratic People's Republic of North Korea on June 19, 2024.

President Putin stated: "The actions of the North Korean comrades are based on the spirit of solidarity and true comradeship. We highly appreciate and sincerely thank Comrade Kim Jong Un, Chairman of the State Council, the leadership, and the people of North Korea for their firm support."
