U.S. President Donald Trump stated that Europe is desperately in need of energy, while the UK is reportedly refusing to develop oil fields on the North Sea continental shelf.

Trump wrote on the "Truth Social" platform: "Europe desperately needs energy, yet the UK refuses to develop North Sea oil – one of the world's largest oil fields. What a tragedy!"

The U.S. President added that Norway sells its oil extracted from the North Sea at twice the price to the UK.

Trump emphasized: "They (Norway) are making a fortune. From an energy perspective, the UK has a better geographical position than Norway in the North Sea and should drill, drill, and drill again. It’s absolutely crazy that they don’t do it…"

Finally, the U.S. President called for abandoning wind turbines.

Trump concluded: "No more wind power stations ever!"

U.S. President Trump told The New York Post that the next round of U.S.-Iran negotiations might take place in Pakistan within the next two days.

On February 28, the United States and Israel launched multiple strikes against targets inside Iran, including attacks on Tehran, causing destruction and civilian casualties. In response, Iran carried out retaliatory missile strikes on Israeli territory and U.S. military targets in the Middle East.

On April 8, U.S. President Trump said he agreed to suspend strikes against Iran for two weeks and guaranteed that the ceasefire would be observed by both sides. On April 11, Iran and the United States began negotiations in Islamabad. On April 12, U.S. Deputy Secretary Vance, head of the American delegation, stated that after prolonged talks, no agreement was reached, and the U.S. delegation returned empty-handed.
