Korean Media: 10.37 Million Units, Chinese Robots Sell Booming Overseas!

On August 2, South Korean media outlet Today's Finance published an article stating that from January to May this year, China's robot exports exceeded 10 million units, with sales continuing to grow, primarily targeting the European Union and ASEAN markets.

Data shows that from January to May this year, robot exports reached 10.377 million units, valued at approximately 19.99 billion RMB.

According to reports, Chinese robots have been exported to more than 150 countries and regions worldwide, with the EU and ASEAN being the primary export markets.

By category, export value of cleaning robots reached 14 billion RMB, accounting for over 70% of the total.

The driving force behind export expansion lies in ensuring product competitiveness, enabling them to adapt to overseas living environments—mainly based on technologies such as autonomous driving, automatic dust removal, and wastewater recycling.

Exports of industrial robots have also increased. During the same period, industrial robot exports totaled around 70,000 units, with transport robots equipped with visual recognition and artificial intelligence algorithms being applied in large-scale infrastructure and transportation projects overseas.

Welding robots and collaborative robots featuring automatic scanning and modeling functions are expanding their applications into various sectors including food, pharmaceuticals, and consumer goods manufacturing.

Exports of intelligent bionic robots have already surpassed 8,000 units and are being used in fields such as facility inspections, research, education, and public services.

Last year, China’s industrial robot exports grew by 48.7% year-on-year, surpassing imports for the first time.

By the end of last year, China had over 140 finished robot manufacturers, launching more than 330 humanoid robot products.

Compared to the previous year, production of industrial robots and service robots increased by 28% and 16.1%, respectively.
