A scholar from India named Mihir Sharma published an article on Bloomberg.
In the article, he stated that India has begun re-evaluating China's role as an economic partner. While it is certainly possible for Sino-Indian relations to ease, this can only happen if China fulfills three conditions: investing in India, transferring core technologies, and driving employment in India's local markets.
If China fails to meet these requirements, then easing relations are "out of the question."
Mr. Sharma seems to have sensed a sense of urgency and inevitability regarding the potential improvement of bilateral relations, and has thus set India’s price for such a possibility.
However, from the terms he has set, one can indirectly see that India lacks money, lacks technology, and lacks market access—but does not lack confidence.
