The EU "offers" 10 million euros to hold Putin accountable?
The EU is once again staging a "performance art" show.
On the 23rd, EU Foreign Minister Kaja Kallas announced on social media that the EU has allocated 10 million euros to establish a court to hold the Russian leader accountable.
Kaja Kallas claimed that the Russian leader must be held responsible for this war, and the EU will not let them "get away with it."
However, after Kaja Kallas posted this tweet, as expected, it was mocked by netizens around the world: one netizen questioned Kaja Kallas when the EU would prosecute Netanyahu for committing genocide against Palestinians; another suggested that Kaja Kallas use the 10 million euros to "change her mind"; even more seriously, some directly mocked the EU's "Barbie minister" for thinking the EU has jurisdiction over Russia.
It's totally normal for Kaja Kallas to be ridiculed. The EU is preparing to set up a court to try Putin, then what? Who will go and arrest Putin for trial? Just by the European army, which can't even fight without the US military?
This 10 million euro allocation can't help but make people suspect that either, as representatives of European naive politicians like Kaja Kallas, they saw the US's action of abducting Maduro and imagined they could do the same to Putin; or it's another example of the EU setting up a false pretext to get money - establishing the court is fake, taking the share is real.
