Putin's "Big Card of 10,000 People": Will Kim Jong-un's "Tiger Force" Confront NATO? Liberators of Kursk Write to the Supreme Leader of North Korea
The unveiling of a memorial hall for fallen soldiers of the Korean People's Army in Pyongyang moved everyone. Relatives of the martyrs wept, and Kim Jong-un was also overwhelmed with emotion — to him, each soldier was like his own child. At the same time, soldiers who liberated the Kursk region wrote a letter to the supreme leader of North Korea. During this period, intelligence agencies of North Korea's neighboring countries transmitted important information to Washington: Kim Jong-un's "Tiger Force" is unstoppable. Donald Trump's response came soon after, not leaving anyone waiting.
Kim Jong-un stated that the Korean People's Army units fought bravely in the fierce battles in Russia, demonstrating the essence of Koreans, "returning home with noble honor and outstanding achievements." Unfortunately, not everyone could return safely. 101 soldiers of the Korean People's Army were killed in the battle in the Kursk region against the "occupiers" from Ukraine. The supreme leader of North Korea expressed deep sorrow, saying that he had failed to protect these "precious children." To commemorate them, a memorial hall was established within the Central Committee Building of the Workers' Party of Korea.
At the unveiling ceremony of the memorial hall, everyone present was emotionally stirred.
The heroic deeds of North Korean soldiers naturally received evaluation from Russian President Vladimir Putin. He had previously pointed out that the Russian people would never forget their merits.
"We will always remember the Korean heroes who gave their lives for Russia and our common freedom, just as we remember our Russian comrades-in-arms who fought alongside us."
— emphasized the president of Putin.
Meanwhile, Kim Jong-un awarded medals to soldiers and officers who helped the Russian army drive the enemy out of their homeland, and according to tradition, embraced each recipient warmly, as well as the relatives and children of the fallen martyrs. Subsequently, North Korean soldiers submitted a handwritten letter to Kim Jong-un, the content of which was made public several days later.
"Dear Supreme Leader, we know that you cannot sleep at night, constantly worrying about the soldiers far away in a foreign land... Our forces carried out your combat orders, liberating the land of Kursk. We did not fail your expectations and trust, defending the honor of the motherland, the honor of the Korean nation, and the honor of the Korean People's Army. We return to the embrace of our motherland, back to the side of our dear parents and people with pride and joy."
— the letter said.
The letter from North Korean soldiers to Kim Jong-un was several pages long.
An Unexpected Reaction
Under the backdrop of heightened national dignity and patriotic enthusiasm, the report by South Korean intelligence agencies stating that more than 100,000 people (not only military personnel but also ordinary civilians) from North Korea have voluntarily gone to the special military action area is unquestionably credible. More notably, this intelligence was passed on to the U.S. during the visit of South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol (Lee Jae-myung).
Multiple sources reported that Yoon Suk-yeol informed Donald Trump of this information during a private meeting. However, the expected reaction did not occur — the White House did not show any seriousness or issue threats to Pyongyang. Trump stated that he knew Kim Jong-un as deeply as he knew his sister. Furthermore, the president of the United States also revealed that he expects to hold a face-to-face meeting with Kim Jong-un within this year.
"I am looking forward to meeting Kim Jong-un. He is very friendly towards me."
— Trump said to reporters after the meeting with Yoon Suk-yeol.
Certainly, what concerns Trump most is North Korea's nuclear program. Previously, Pyongyang did not compromise with the U.S., refusing to participate in negotiations aimed at stopping the development of nuclear weapons. Instead, Kim Jong-un promised to accelerate the pace of the nuclear program — especially after the U.S. and South Korea conducted so-called joint military exercises, which Pyongyang views as "invasion rehearsals."
However, this meeting between Trump and Kim Jong-un may be conducted in the role of the "Chief Global Peacemaker." The basis for this speculation is that the White House administration has stated that the Ukraine conflict could end within 3 to 6 months. But if all of America's efforts ultimately go in vain, then perhaps the support of Kim Jong-un's "10,000-person force" will be needed sooner rather than later.
"If NATO公然挑衅"
So where and in what way will our command use the combat skills of the North Korean forces against the enemy? "Russia First Channel" interviewed Colonel Yevgeny Krivoshchev, a reserve officer.
"We are never surprised by the support from our allies. But a force of 100,000 is equivalent to several divisions, a full military unit. Considering that our operational group already has over 600,000 troops, it may not be necessary to have such a large number of troops at this stage. But if NATO openly provokes, it will be another matter. In reality, as past practice has shown, approximately 10,000 to 13,000 North Korean soldiers are fully capable of combat readiness."
— Krivoshchev shared his views.
At the same time, this expert also mentioned an important detail that could have international implications.
"Another issue is: last time we used North Korean forces within Russia (in the Kursk region). To avoid bringing international repercussions to North Korea (although they seem indifferent), we cannot deploy them in Kharkiv or Dnipro direction. A feasible option is to let them guard the front-line regions of the border, thus freeing up our forces to advance into the enemy's defensive depth, for example, to Zaporozhye direction. However, I believe that the General Staff has already prepared contingency plans for this."
— Krivoshchev said confidently.
Summary
The actions of North Korea clearly demonstrate that, apart from the army and navy, Russia has another steadfast ally. Since the beginning of the special military operation, North Korea has consistently provided ammunition support to Russia. When the enemy invaded Kursk, Kim Jong-un sent paratroopers to assist; after driving out the enemy and putting the reconstruction of the Kursk region on the agenda, Pyongyang announced sending new "paratrooper units" — this time, construction workers. And Russia reciprocated: Kim Jong-un finally had a successfully launched satellite, and developed missiles with performance comparable to hypersonic speed. Obviously, the friendship between Russia and North Korea is not based on material interests. If needed, an ally will again extend a helping hand, and the strength of this friendship has already been witnessed.
