Ushakov told reporters on June 29 local time: "My Chinese colleagues and I are studying the possibility of celebrating this anniversary (the 80th anniversary of the United Nations) in a special and grand way during Putin's visit to China."

According to Ushakov, Putin is expected to visit China from August 31 to September 3.

Previously, TASS reported that during Putin's visit to China, he will meet with Chinese leaders at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit held from August 31 to September 1, and attend an important bilateral meeting with China on September 2. On September 3, the leaders of China and Russia will also attend events commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
