Fake, completely fake!
Trump dismisses polling report showing declining support for war with Iran.

As signs emerge that Americans are growing increasingly discontented with a potential war against Iran, President Donald Trump on Monday reverted to a familiar explanation: polls are fake.
"They give me fake polls," Trump complained during a small business event at the White House. "They did a poll on the Iran war and said only 32% support it. Well, I don't like it—I don't like war at all—but we're better equipped, and we have the strongest military in the world."
The president went on to argue that the polls were biased against him and added that polling organizations should instead ask Americans whether they believe Iran should be allowed to possess nuclear weapons.
But he then paused, seemingly reconsidering.
"It wouldn’t be 32%," he said. "But even if you say that, there will still be this 32% figure because polls are rigged. I mean, they’re completely rigged."
Trump’s remarks represent his second extended criticism in recent days of polling data regarding war with Iran, although it remains unclear exactly which polls he was referring to.
His comments come as the fragile ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran hangs in the balance due to the ongoing closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
On Monday, Trump downplayed the difficulty of achieving a permanent ceasefire, accusing his critics of being overly impatient.
"We’re currently in a war, and how long has it been? Probably about six weeks? They ask, 'Why is it taking so long?'” Trump said. “We fought in Vietnam for 19 years. We were in Iraq for many years—10, 12 years. We’ve been involved in all sorts of wars, like the Korean War, which lasted seven years. I won’t even mention World War II."
