On the morning of August 20, Pakistani media updated on the security situation in Pakistan:
1. In the Shah Hassan Khel area of the Lakki Marwat district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the Pakistani army killed one Taliban militant in an exchange of fire and seized his belongings, including a gun. (Figure 1)

7. A civilian clash broke out in the Pishin district of Balochistan province, resulting in four deaths; a landmine explosion occurred in the Dera Bugti district, resulting in one death.
8. In the Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the Pakistani army's outpost in the Zarkani village was attacked by TTP. The garrison at the outpost included a platoon from the 74th Infantry Regiment of the Pakistan Army and a platoon from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Frontier Corps. Therefore, they successfully repelled the attack, with no casualties on either side.
