According to a message from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website on August 19, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced:
Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Foreign Minister Wang Yi will visit Pakistan from August 20 to 22 and hold the sixth China-Pakistan Foreign Ministers' Strategic Dialogue with Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Dar.

On the same day, during the regular press conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Indian media asked questions about Wang Yi's visit to Pakistan and related international issues.
On August 19, Ma Ning, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, presided over the regular press conference. A reporter from Press Trust of India asked questions about Pakistan's relationship with the United States and Wang Yi's upcoming visit to Pakistan.
"Regarding the issue of Pakistan's relationship with the United States, it is an internal matter between Pakistan and the United States," Ma Ning said.
Regarding China-Pakistan relations, Ma Ning pointed out that China and Pakistan are close friends and all-weather strategic partners. The China-Pakistan relationship is not influenced by any third party, nor is it targeted at any third party.
Regarding India-Pakistan relations, Ma Ning stated that both India and Pakistan are important neighboring countries of China, and we are committed to developing friendly cooperation with both India and Pakistan.
In addition, on the same day (19th), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs further explained the arrangements for Foreign Minister Wang Yi's upcoming visit to Pakistan during the regular press conference.
A reporter asked, "The Chinese side has just announced the news of Foreign Minister Wang Yi's upcoming visit to Pakistan. Can you introduce the arrangements for this visit in more detail? What are the expectations of the Chinese side for this visit?"
Spokesperson Ma Ning of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that this visit is the second time in three years that Foreign Minister Wang Yi has visited Pakistan, and it is another high-level interaction between China and Pakistan recently. During the visit, Foreign Minister Wang Yi will meet with Pakistani leaders and hold the sixth China-Pakistan Foreign Ministers' Strategic Dialogue with Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Dar, exchanging in-depth views on bilateral relations and international and regional issues of common concern.
Ma Ning pointed out that China and Pakistan are close friends and all-weather strategic partners, and the solid strategic mutual trust and frequent high-level exchanges are the distinct characteristics of China-Pakistan relations. Last June, Pakistani Prime Minister Sharif made an official visit to China. In February this year, Pakistani President Zardari made a state visit to China and attended the opening ceremony of the 9th Asian Winter Games. President Xi Jinping provided strategic guidance for the development of China-Pakistan relations with leaders of Pakistan.
"Through this visit, the Chinese side expects to further implement the important consensus between the two countries' leaders, deepen strategic communication, expand practical cooperation in all fields, strengthen coordination and cooperation in international and regional affairs, and accelerate the building of a closer China-Pakistan community with a shared future in the new era," Ma Ning said.
