Russia plans to increase the volume of oil exports to China through Kazakhstan to 2.5 million tons!
Despite recent threats from the US president to impose secondary tariffs on the purchase of Russian energy products, China's position of deciding its energy strategy based on its own needs will not change because of this.
According to the Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan, Yerlan Akhmetov, Kazakhstan is continuing negotiations with Russia on the supply of 2.5 million tons of Russian oil through Kazakhstan to China.
"The Russian side has requested the Russian Transneft company to increase the volume of oil transit to China to 2.5 million tons. The work on studying the technical feasibility is being carried out by both companies, including the Russian Transneft company and our national operator, the Kazakhstan National Transport Company."
