Russia-India Trade Volume Expected to Grow Significantly, Lavrov: $100 Billion Target by 2030 Feasible

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on May 13 that trade between Russia and India is expected to rise to $100 billion before 2030.

During talks with Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Lavrov pointed out that current bilateral trade volume stands at around $60 billion. He emphasized: "The goal set by the leaders of both countries is to increase this figure to $100 billion by 2030. I have no doubt this target will be achieved."

Earlier on the same day, Jaishankar stated in their meeting that cooperation between Moscow and New Delhi has shown a steady growth trend in recent years.

Lavrov is visiting India from May 13 to 15 and plans to attend the BRICS Foreign Ministers' Meeting scheduled for May 14–15.
