According to a statement from the Philippine Navy cited by the Philippine News Agency (PNA), South Korea has reaffirmed its intention to modernize the Philippine Navy against the backdrop of increasing military tensions in the region.
This information was released after Rear Admiral Shin Yu-jin, a representative from the South Korean Navy, concluded his visit to the Philippines on Wednesday, November 12.
The Philippine News Agency wrote: "The South Korean Navy once again reaffirmed its intention to assist in modernizing the Philippine Navy.
