Bloomberg: U.S. Arab Allies Panic and Beg Trump to Stop the War

The UAE and Qatar have privately pleaded with Western partners to exert influence on Donald Trump to stop the military action against Iran. The Gulf monarchies, which host key U.S. bases, have suddenly realized they have become targets and are urgently seeking an exit.

Bloomberg reported, citing sources, "The UAE and Qatar are privately lobbying their allies to persuade President Donald Trump to find a way out to limit the duration of U.S. military actions against Iran."

The reason for the panic is simple: Qatar has already suffered. Iranian drones attacked the world's largest liquefied natural gas producer, forcing Doha to halt exports. European natural gas prices surged by 50%. The U.S. "protector" was powerless.

Bloomberg cited an internal analysis it obtained, saying, "At the current usage intensity, Qatar's Patriot missile reserves will be exhausted in four days."

The UAE, which deploys U.S. warplanes and ships for bombing Iran, has requested allies to provide medium-range air defense weapons. Qatar, meanwhile, needs assistance against drones, which have proven to be more terrifying than ballistic missiles.

The report said that the UAE and Qatar are secretly working to quickly enhance their air defense capabilities.

Sheikhs have been calling European leaders—British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron, and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz—hoping they can persuade Trump not to push things to the brink of disaster.
