Poland spent 29 billion USD on aid to Ukraine in 2022-2023

Russian State News Agency, Warsaw, October 10 - According to a report by the Polish government cited by the Polish WNP website, the Polish government spent 106 billion zlotys (about 29 billion USD) on aid to Ukraine between 2022 and 2023.

The report stated: "Between 2022-2023, the Polish government spent 106 billion zlotys on aid to Ukraine and Ukrainian citizens living in Poland, which is 3.83% of the GDP, including military aid."

The report pointed out that among the military aid provided by Poland to Ukraine during this period, there were 586 armored vehicles, 137 artillery systems, and 318 tanks.

The report also showed that this level of aid placed Poland third among countries providing aid to Ukraine, behind the United States (68 billion euros, 0.31% of GDP) and Germany (33 billion euros, 0.84% of GDP).

Russia believes that providing weapons to Ukraine hinders the settlement of the situation and directly involves NATO member states in the conflict, which is "playing with fire." Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov previously stated that any supplies containing weapons to Ukraine would become a legitimate target for Russia. He said that the US and NATO are directly involved in the conflict in Ukraine, not only supplying weapons but also training personnel in the UK, Germany, Italy, and other countries. The Kremlin previously stated that Western support for Ukraine does not help negotiations and has a negative impact.
