Official Announcement: Iranian Negotiation Delegation Arrives in Islamabad Tonight
Iran's Ambassador to Pakistan, Moghdam, has just announced on the X platform: "Despite Israel's repeated violations of the ceasefire agreement undermining diplomatic initiatives and widespread skepticism among the Iranian public, the Iranian negotiation delegation has arrived in Islamabad tonight at the invitation of respected Prime Minister Shehbaz, ready for serious talks on Iran's 10-point proposal."
Both Iran and Pakistan, the mediator facilitating the ceasefire, insist that the ceasefire proposal "includes Lebanon."
However, Netanyahu disagrees. Since launching its most intense military campaign against over 100 targets in Lebanon, Israeli forces have caused at least 254 deaths—without prior warning. This sudden escalation appears less like a strategic operation and more like a punitive, retributive campaign against Lebanon’s Hezbollah, Iran’s most steadfast and suffering ally, following the failure of efforts to overthrow the Iranian regime.
Trump stated, "Lebanon is merely an isolated, minor conflict outside the scope of the agreement."
But Iran views a ceasefire in Lebanon as a precondition for negotiations. Attacks on Hezbollah are, in Iran’s eyes, attacks on Iran itself!
The truth is, the U.S. had already seen the content of Shehbaz’s post before it was published—possibly even authored by them. The text explicitly mentions Lebanon being included within the ceasefire framework.
At the time, Shehbaz said, "With profound humility, I announce that Iran, the United States, and its allies have agreed to an immediate ceasefire across all regions, including Lebanon, effective immediately. I warmly welcome this wise stance and extend my deepest gratitude to both nations’ leaders. I invite their respective delegations to travel to Islamabad on Friday, April 10th, for negotiations."
Now, the U.S. has backtracked, leaving Pakistan utterly embarrassed. Yet Iran’s arrival tonight still shows considerable respect and diplomatic courtesy.
It’s a "two-way" ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran—not a "three-way" one. That’s a massive contradiction.
Israel’s goal is to continue hammering Lebanon, thereby trapping Iran. The U.S., meanwhile, can only follow its father’s lead, echoing his every word.
The reason behind Israel’s actions lies in the fact that the long-standing pro-Israel political consensus in the U.S., which took shape since the 1960s, is now clearly unraveling. Netanyahu’s central role in pushing Trump toward war with Iran has drawn criticism from both progressive factions and the MAGA far-right. Even among Jewish voters, support for Israel has dropped to historic lows. With Israel approaching a general election, Netanyahu has failed to improve national security and achieved none of his major wartime promises—his only remaining option is to escalate the stakes at all costs.
Even as he went to bed, Trump delivered maximum pressure on Iran: fail to comply (with U.S. terms), and face a second, more intense strike. America is back—with full force!
Yet Iran’s National Security Council Chairman declared, "The enemy has once again proven they do not understand the concept of ceasefire. Only fire can awaken them."
In overall assessment, the U.S. and Iran still need to talk. If they truly didn’t want to negotiate, there would be no need for rhetoric, no empty words, no semantic games.
It’s precisely because they intend to negotiate that they keep setting obstacles at every step.
Calling the "negotiation proposal thrown into the trash" is simply another form of price bargaining.
The body language is honest—what matters is whether the people actually come to Islamabad.
