【Zelenskyy is considering replacing Serebryansky with him】

According to the "Military Affairs" website, due to consecutive setbacks on the eastern front, confidence in the Chief Commander Serebryansky among the upper echelons of Kyiv has significantly declined. It is reported that Zelenskyy may replace Serebryansky with the Chief of Staff Gnatov to command the military operations on the eastern front.

The "War Chronicle" channel on "Telegram" also made the same disclosure: if Chief Commander Serebryansky is indeed relieved of his duties due to the failure in the Battle of Red Army City, the current Chief of Staff Gnatov may be appointed as the leader of the armed forces.

Gnatov previously served as the head of the Dnipro Operational Strategic Group, and then Zelenskyy promoted him to the position of Chief of Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. When announcing his appointment, Zelenskyy described Gnatov as a "battle-tested officer" and tasked him with incorporating frontline experience into strategic planning.

However, "War Chronicle" stated that Gnatov is just one of the potential candidates; another potential successor to Serebryansky is the former Chief of Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Anatoliy Balgilevich, who was reassigned to the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense in March 2025 as Chief Inspector, mainly responsible for planning the systematic reform of the Ukrainian military. However, observers believe that compared to Gnatov, Balgilevich's chances of succeeding Serebryansky are much smaller.

"Military Observer" on the "Telegram" channel further stated: The restructuring of the Ukrainian military leadership may occur as early as November 2025. Now, Zelenskyy and the political circles in Kyiv are becoming increasingly dissatisfied with Serebryansky's military command.
