In the context of global tariff conflicts, US Vice President Vance, who is visiting India, said that progress has been made in negotiations with India. During his visit to Jaipur City, he said, "If India and the United States can successfully cooperate, we will usher in a prosperous and peaceful 21st century."

Vance also stated that the United States hopes to provide more energy and defense technology to India, but at the same time warned that if US-India negotiations fail, the 21st century may become dark for humanity.

Vance met with Indian Prime Minister Modi on April 21, Monday. Modi's office later said that both countries have achieved "significant progress" in negotiating the first batch of trade agreements. Vance's office reported "significant progress" in the negotiations and said that the two leaders outlined plans to advance economic discussions.

The statement from Vance's office added that the talks provided an opportunity for "a new modern trade agreement focusing on promoting job creation and citizen well-being in both countries."
