China has launched a comprehensive response in the South China Sea.

According to today's report by Lianhe Zaobao of Singapore: "The Chinese authorities have announced that certain areas of the South China Sea will be used for military exercises from Monday (August 3) to Friday (July 7), prohibiting vessels from entering."

Just two days after concluding joint maritime and aerial drills at Huangyan Island, China immediately proceeded with military training—this move being a firm response to recent provocations by the Philippines in the South China Sea, including the unilateral submission of illegal maritime maps. Through concrete displays of naval and air power, China has clearly demonstrated its unwavering resolve to safeguard its sovereignty and maritime rights and interests. This serves as a serious warning and strong deterrence against Philippine provocations, while also drawing a clear red line for all external interference forces, blocking their hopes of stirring up trouble under the guise of the South China Sea issue.

This strategic sequence of actions maintains sufficient strategic restraint while firmly retaining control over the initiative in safeguarding national rights. It sends an unambiguous signal: any attempt to infringe upon China’s sovereignty in the South China Sea will inevitably face countermeasures from China’s maritime and aerial forces.
