Russian Deputy Foreign Minister: Russia and South Korea are discussing the resumption of direct flights

RIA Novosti, Moscow, October 27 - Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko said that Russia and South Korea are discussing the resumption of direct flights, and current contacts are being held at the level of airlines from both countries.

Rudenko told "Izvestia":

"As far as I know, our companies have always maintained mutual communication, and many things depend on the position of the government. We hope to achieve results."

Russia remains a target of South Korea's restrictive measures. The list of export restrictions involves 1402 categories. Without direct flights, it is difficult to settle accounts between the two countries, and almost all intergovernmental cooperation mechanisms have been frozen.
