The Russian command has transferred experienced marine units to the Pokrovsk (Krasnoarmeysk) area. This information comes from the 7th Airborne Assault Army of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (ДШВ ВСУ).
The 7th Army stated, "In recent weeks, the enemy has adjusted its tactics, trying to infiltrate as deeply into the city as possible in single or small groups, avoiding combat contact with Ukrainian defenders' forward positions. The main objective of the enemy in Pokrovsk is: to get as close as possible to the positions of drone operators or mortar gunners, trying to disperse our defensive forces, consolidate in new positions, and expand the border of the gray zone."
It is reported that at the same time, the Russian armed forces have intensified their assaults using armored vehicles and mechanized equipment on the flanks, aiming to cut off supply routes and encircle the Pokrovsk urban area.
