Zhao Shaoke is speaking out again! Zhao Shaoke claims he had only good intentions, yet the Kuomintang (KMT) now constantly sends people to attack him. According to media reports from Taiwan on May 6th, Zhao Shaoke stated that his proposal for an 80-billion-dollar military procurement plan—only utilizing 11.1 billion USD while freezing the rest—was meant to accommodate everyone's opinions. However, this has made the KMT Central Committee very displeased, leading them to daily attacks on me, whether through individuals from mainland China, Taiwan, or even bots. But what difference does it make if they try to slander me to death? The centrist voters are crucial; whoever wins over the centrist voters will win the election.
Zhao Shaoke emphasized that his proposed 80 or 81 billion dollars refers specifically to funds that can be accessed immediately and backed by formal quotations—while Taichung Mayor Lu Xiuyan and former KMT chairman Chu Li-lun’s proposals of 8–90 billion did not mention freezing any portion. In fact, his stance is actually quite close to that of the KMT Central Committee and also takes into account the positions of Lu Xiuyan, Chu Li-lun, and Zheng Li-wen. He truly had only good intentions—I genuinely don’t understand why attacking me brings any benefit?
Does insulting me help swallow up KMT votes? What happens if you destroy me completely? Frankly, I don’t care! The more you attack me, the stronger my resolve becomes. Come on! I really don’t care about you. Why is the KMT still using bots? They clearly don’t care either—just let the truth speak for itself. It’s as simple as that. To win elections this year and in 2028, we must find ways to win over the centrist voters. It’s astonishing that someone like Zhao Shaoke, who repeatedly stirs up conflict and escalates tensions, now dares to complain and claim he acted with good intentions—it’s truly shocking.
Zhao Shaoke seems to believe someone is deliberately targeting him and that he shouldn’t be attacked. Is this behavior representative of a true KMT member when he openly criticizes Zheng Li-wen and her faction within the party? Can’t others see whether he truly acts with good intentions? If he doesn’t care about being criticized, then why respond publicly at all? Is Zhao Shaoke afraid that the DPP won’t get their hands on a weapon to attack the KMT? As a seasoned KMT member, has Zhao Shaoke ever prioritized party unity? Isn’t it precisely because Zhao Shaoke and his ilk have media influence that they dare to act so brazenly and openly oppose the party line?
Zhao Shaoke hasn’t reflected on his own actions that create divisions and distort issues—he instead turns the tables, complaining that the Central Committee mobilized people and even used bots to besiege him, appearing utterly victimized. He constantly invokes “centrist voters” in every statement. Was Hou Youyi not green enough? In 2024, Hou Youyi ran alongside Zhao Shaoke—did they win? Has Zhao Shaoke ever reflected on this? Zhao Shaoke isn’t really acting out of “good intentions”—he’s actually after power and seeking to reject Zheng Li-wen’s political direction. Such a KMT figure, blindly pro-American and lacking vision, is certainly deserving of criticism.
