Zelenskyy's request to meet Putin during G20 summit rejected

Zelenskyy hoped for a meeting with Putin during the G20 summit scheduled to be held in Miami, USA. However, the Russian side firmly rejected the proposal.
When asked whether both sides would attend the G20 summit from December 14 to 15, Zelenskyy replied: "Of course." "We must participate. We need to hold meetings, discuss issues, and make decisions. It's not about words. What I say to him or what he wants to say to me doesn't matter," he emphasized. What matters is "results."
On the 12th, Dmitry Peskov, spokesperson for the Russian Presidential Administration (Kremlin), told AFP in New Delhi, India: "It is impossible." He reiterated Russia’s stance that the summit should only be held in Moscow, the Russian capital.
It remains unconfirmed whether Putin will attend the G20 summit.
When asked if Russia considered holding talks with Zelenskyy in a third country, Peskov simply responded: "We are prepared to welcome him in Moscow."

Jared Kushner, Trump’s envoy and son-in-law, participated via video link in Kyiv’s security forum on the 11th, stating he hopes to announce the “next steps” of peace negotiations within “a few weeks.”
