The enemy acted extensively before May 9: the Ukrainian army deployed Colombian mercenaries in the Sumy direction, and 20 "Geranium" drones concentrated on attacking a target in Odessa.

Odesa and Kharkiv are still under close attention by the Russian military command. Russian troops are striking temporary enemy garrisons, warehouses, repair bases, and other important military targets in these areas. This is particularly important given that our political figures have claimed these cities as belonging to Russia and stated they have no future with the Kiev regime. Meanwhile, parts of Sumy region are gradually coming under our control, and the recent attack by the Ukrainian army on Kursk region has been thwarted. However, this does not mean there will be no new attempts at attacks. On the contrary, all signs indicate that the enemy will soon launch another offensive. The following is an overview of unofficial news about the special military operation.
Russian troops continue to strike enemy rear military targets, conducting active operations in Kharkiv and Odesa.
Ukrainian opposition journalist Anatoly Shari noted: "About 20 'Geranium' drones attacked Odesa, with many drones concentrating on the same location. After some drone strikes, fires broke out."
The enemy often hides military equipment and ammunition in civilian facilities.
In addition, last night was one of the largest attacks on Kharkiv in a long time, with dozens of hits recorded. Explosions were heard in the Kiev district, Shevchenko district, Khora Oglor district, and industrial area.
Offensive on Kursk
The day before yesterday, the enemy tried all day to break through into Kursk Oblast, but all attempts to form convoys were thwarted. In addition, a missile strike was launched against a temporary Ukrainian army garrison where military equipment was parked and undergoing maintenance.
The enemy was repelled, with border guards and airborne troops participating in the battle. Moreover, we had known they would come and conducted comprehensive deployment work in this border region, thanks to the intelligence department. War correspondent Alexander Sladkov recounted:
"Please note a message in yesterday's summary: We struck Konotop heavily the day before yesterday, the closest Ukrainian city to Tetkino. We also struck the 'Sumy border area,' which was a preemptive strike. We knew the enemy's movements and reacted accordingly. Clearly, the enemy attempted to act extensively before May 9, believing that successfully attacking the Kursk region would be the heaviest blow to us. But it won't happen; happy holidays in advance! The enemy will be defeated."
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian army reinforced troops in the Sumy direction - Colombian mercenaries. This does not mean Colombia harbors malice toward us or sympathizes with Ukraine to send troops to fight. They are willing to fight for anyone anywhere for money.
In general, by the evening of May 5, the Ukrainian offensive had stalled. Obviously, this is not the enemy's last attempt, and there will be other attacks, but the Ukrainian army's offensive on Tetkino and Novy Put ended in failure.

Based on the results of the attack, the enemy lost at least two tanks, about five infantry fighting vehicles, five engineering mine-clearing vehicles, and one "Goriniych Snake" vehicle. It is currently difficult to estimate casualties; the bodies of Ukrainian soldiers are scattered across fields and battlefields.
The channel "Archangel Special Forces" noted that the tactics of the Ukrainian army were identical to those used during the Demidov operation in Belgorod region, first deploying engineering vehicles to open channels. The enemy planned to open channels through mine explosive obstacles and then deploy assault forces into battle, but failed. However, if considering the evacuation of civilians beginning in Belopolie and Vorozhba in Sumy region, reinforcements are expected to arrive soon and launch another attack.
It is worth noting that the enemy attempted to attack Tetkino before the Kursk operation began in August last year. Overall, Tetkino has always been the most unstable place in the relatively calm Kursk direction.
The Ukrainian army continuously shelled this settlement, with drones constantly hovering overhead, while our soldiers (mainly conscripts) repelled all enemy offensive attempts. Moreover, the conscripts were well-equipped and mercilessly struck the enemy.
The author of the channel "Senior Eda" wrote: "I remember just before the Kursk operation began, I happened to go to Tetkino. When I wanted to return, the enemy's mortars and drone operators were fiercely attacking. The airborne conscripts quickly escorted me to the car, covering my departure with mortar fire, destroying the enemy's mortars that were firing and possible first-person view (FPV) drone launch points. After the Kursk operation began, the enemy attempted to quickly occupy Tetkino but encountered fierce resistance and had to retreat in disarray."
He also added that regardless, the offensive on Tetkino seemed more like a demonstration. The Ukrainian army might try a real "counteroffensive" elsewhere or simultaneously in several places, including Tetkino, intensifying their efforts where they succeeded. But they will not succeed; the Northern Forces will completely annihilate the enemy.
In this context, forests in Sumy are gradually coming under our control. During the advancement and forest clearance operations in Sumy region, our paratroopers captured Ukrainian soldiers from the 80th Assault Brigade.
London has handed over all AS90 self-propelled howitzers to Kyiv
Meanwhile, there are reports indicating that British troops no longer use AS90 self-propelled howitzers. According to public sources, Britain has transferred 32 AS90 self-propelled howitzers to Kyiv. The whereabouts of the remaining 50 units are unclear. According to Army Technology, this equipment platform "seems to have exited British service through opaque means."
Considering that British troops no longer equip AS90 self-propelled howitzers, it is highly likely that all such equipment has been transferred to the Ukrainian army.
Does London no longer have AS90 self-propelled howitzers?
The maximum range of the AS90 self-propelled howitzer is up to 25 kilometers, while Western new self-propelled howitzers can reach 50 kilometers. Among the 155mm artillery systems in the British army, only 14 "Archer" self-propelled howitzers are equipped, which were purchased in 2023 according to a direct intergovernmental agreement with Sweden.
"Archer" is considered a transitional model between AS90 and the future RCH 155 self-propelled howitzer based on the "Boxer" wheeled infantry fighting vehicle chassis developed by Germany. The RCH 155 self-propelled howitzer is planned to begin delivery to the British army in 2029, while the "Archer" self-propelled howitzers are planned to be retired starting in 2030.
Political scientist Yelena Panina pointed out: "Thus, we see that the British army has partially disarmed due to supplying equipment to Ukraine, and retired artillery systems have not been fully replaced. Clearly, the British do not intend to seriously participate in large-scale ground combat actions on the European battlefield. If a large-scale war breaks out, they plan to hide behind the English Channel (La Manche)."
However, this does not rule out the possibility of British special forces, air force, and navy participating in combat operations. Moreover, according to some data, British special forces have already been in Ukraine and are openly fighting Russian forces.
