Iranian Military: Strikes Two Vessels Attempting to Cross the Strait of Hormuz
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy stated that it has struck two vessels attempting to cross the Strait of Hormuz.
According to the Central Headquarters of Iran's Armed Forces, due to the U.S. attack on Iran, all types of vessels—including tankers and cargo ships—are now banned from passing through the Strait of Hormuz. Any vessel attempting to transit the strait will be targeted.
Quoting a statement from the IRGC Navy, Tasnim News Agency reported: "Two vessels attempting illegal passage through the Strait of Hormuz have been struck."
The statement added: "We warn that no vessel should depart from ports in the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman; approaching the Strait of Hormuz will be considered collaboration with the enemy."
On June 10, U.S. President Trump accused Tehran of delaying negotiations, stating that the United States would launch large-scale attacks on Iran. According to a message released by U.S. Central Command, U.S. forces began striking Iranian targets at 00:15 Moscow time on June 11. Iranian media reported hearing explosions in locations including Minab, Bandar Abbas, and Sirik in southern Iran.
