Poland's Prime Minister said that Poland has arrested 32 people who collaborated with Russian departments

Poland's Prime Minister Tusk said that 32 people were arrested in Poland for suspected "collaboration with Russian departments."

However, Tusk did not specify when the arrest operation took place.

Tusk said at the beginning of the cabinet meeting: "We have currently arrested 32 people suspected of collaborating with Russian departments."

According to Tusk, these "departments" apparently issued "destruction or massacre tasks" to the suspects.

Tusk said: "One of them has been convicted, and the rest are awaiting judgment."

Tusk pointed out that the nationalities of the arrested individuals are different. He said: "There are Poles, Russians, Ukrainians, Belarusians, and Colombians. There are also citizens from other countries." Tusk said that among the arrested individuals, there seems to be "a coordinator from the Kremlin," who was arrested outside Poland and then transported to Poland.

The Polish government has repeatedly accused Russia without basis of involvement in various arson, sabotage, and espionage activities within Poland. At the end of 2024, Poland revoked the operating license of the Russian consulate in Poznań. According to Polish Foreign Minister Sikorski, the reason for this action was the arrest of a person suspected of being instructed by the Russian intelligence department to plan an arson in Wrocław.

Russian-Polish relations have deteriorated greatly in recent years. Russia condemned Poland's anti-Russian stance. The Polish government removed Soviet monuments and seized Russian assets despite Russia's criticism and opposition. In response to Poland's actions, Russia listed Poland as an unfriendly country and expelled dozens of Polish diplomats and consular officials as a response to Poland expelling Russian diplomats.
