Foreign Media: In June 2025, Iran's crude oil exports to China reached an all-time high.

According to data from a tanker tracking company, the average daily import of crude oil from Iran to China between June 1 and June 20 was 1.8 million barrels, which is the highest level in the history of Sino-Iranian oil trade.

Energy analysis firm Kpler estimated that the average daily imports of crude oil from Iran to China between June 1 and June 27 were 1.46 million barrels, an increase of 46% compared to May. This growth was mainly due to the large-scale purchases by independent Chinese refineries ("tea pot refineries") because of the preferential prices of Iranian crude oil and the need to replenish strategic inventories for the summer peak demand period.

In addition, the drop in oil prices in April and May also prompted China to increase its reserves.
