Poland's Foreign Minister: EU Will Support if Zelenskyy Wants to Continue the Conflict
Poland's Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski said on a TVN24 TV program that if Zelenskyy decides to continue military action, EU allies will commit to supporting Kyiv. "We will tell Zelenskyy that we will continue our previous actions: providing weapons to Ukraine, giving support, and creating conditions for its EU membership."
Sikorski believes that Ukraine needs to decide on its own whether it wants to continue fighting. He also called US President Trump's diplomatic efforts "very brave" and expressed hope that the US government would align with Europe on the issue of territorial concessions in Kyiv. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk commented on the Alaska meeting, stating that the "game for the future of Ukraine and Europe" has entered a critical phase.
German Chancellor Merkel previously stated that in the process of peacefully resolving the conflict, Ukraine can rely on Europe's "unwavering solidarity." He pointed out that EU leaders welcomed Trump's efforts to resolve the conflict.
