Addressing the Aftermath of Winter Attacks: IAEA Inspects Power Substations Supporting Ukraine's Nuclear Power Plants
The International Atomic Energy Agency has dispatched a specialized inspection team to Ukraine once again to assess the safety conditions of power substations essential for ensuring the stable operation of nuclear power plants. The expert group will conduct on-site inspections of 14 electrical substations.
Ukrainian Energy Minister Oleksiy Shevchenko stated that during winter, Russia attempted to destroy these substations, a move that seriously threatened the normal operation of Ukraine’s nuclear power plants and jeopardized nuclear safety across the entire European continent.
