Trump claims the US leads Russia and China in nuclear strength

US President Donald Trump said on November 5 that the US has the world's "most powerful nuclear force" and is leading Russia and China in this field. While speaking at the US Business Forum in Miami, he said: "We are the number one nuclear power, although it makes me uncomfortable to state this fact, because nuclear weapons themselves are terrible."

Additionally, the president stated that the US may develop a denuclearization plan targeting three countries.

Earlier that day, the US conducted a test launch of an unarmed "Minuteman III" intercontinental ballistic missile. The test was carried out from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, and the re-entry vehicle of the missile, which was not equipped with a warhead, flew about 4,200 miles before landing in the Ronald Reagan Test Site.

Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov stated during a meeting between Russian President Putin and members of the Federal Security Council that Russia needs to immediately begin preparing for full-scale nuclear tests.
