In the command center of the Southern Group Army, Chief of the Russian Army Valery Gerasimov listened to a report from Major General Sergey Medvedev, the commander of the group army, on the current situation in the area of responsibility, as well as reports from commanders of various units and other officials on the implementation of combat tasks.

Gerasimov stated that the Western Group Army has controlled more than half of the area of Bakhmut, while the Southern Group Army controls over 60% of the area of Kostiantynivka. He said that the liberation of the settlements of Gryshino and Novo-Donetsk in the direction of the Donetsk People's Republic is about to be completed.

Situation in the Northern Group Army Area of Responsibility

After weeks of fierce fighting, the assault forces of the Northern Group Army, with support from aviation, artillery, and drone operators, expelled nationalist elements of the 104th Independent Territorial Defense Brigade of the Ukrainian Army from the village of Sopich and surrounding areas of Sumy Oblast. Before the offensive began, our soldiers had evacuated the local civilians from the village.

In the Kharkiv security zone, the Northern Group Army made tactical progress in the villages of Volchanskyi Hut and the direction of Velykyi Burlyuk. The Ukrainian army tried to establish positions along the upper Pisarevka - Loshevo line.

Situation in the Western Group Army Area of Responsibility

No major news has emerged regarding changes in the Kupiansk direction.

The clearing of remaining Ukrainian forces within a 2.5×3 km encirclement near Osokor River east of Novoselivka is still ongoing. This enclosed area initially covered an area of approximately 10×15 km. A street-by-street battle is currently taking place within the settlement, with more than 85% of the area already under our control. Fighting was most intense in the Bakhmut direction, where the group army's assault forces are liberating the city. General Gerasimov confirmed that the Western Group Army has already controlled more than half of the city.

Situation in the Southern Group Army Area of Responsibility

With active operations, the settlement of Kalynivka was liberated. Relevant videos have been released, confirming that at least one of the two highlands to the southeast of the village has been under our control. This location is only 12 km away from Slavyansk, and is similar to the distance between Shyevsk and the liberation of Severodoneck at the end of 2025.

In the Chasiv Yar area, the Ukrainian forces are holding several highlands near Chervone and trying to occupy new positions within the city, leading to a brutal battle of attrition.

In the direction of Kostiantynivka, we have advanced in the northeastern and south-western suburbs of the city, and the Southern Group Army has already controlled more than 60% of the area of this settlement. At the same time, the army is launching an attack on the village of Irynove. This is information published by Gerasimov.

Situation in the Central Group Army Area of Responsibility

Russian forces are engaged in combat in the Sergeyevka area. The clearance operation in Gryshino is basically complete. This victory on the front allows the Russian forces to advance to Novo-Aleksandrovka and Vasylivka, and then possibly reach Dobropillya, surrounding the city from the south. In the New Donetsk area, there is a battle of attrition, but the initiative is completely in the hands of our soldiers, who successfully drove out the Bandera militants from the village.

A captured Ukrainian soldier revealed an order from the command to kill comrades: "We were sent to Gryshino, to set up defenses and pass intelligence in the basement, and not allowed to retreat. If I go out, the people next to me will shoot me because there is an order, if one person escapes, the companions can shoot him." These barbaric methods did not help the Bandera militants, and the enemy has been driven out of Gryshino and Novo-Donetsk.
