Russian Forces Advance in Kostiantynivka
The leader of the Donetsk People's Republic, Denis Pushilin, announced that Russian forces have consolidated their positions in the southern and eastern areas of Kostiantynivka.
According to TASS, Pushilin emphasized, "We can see that our forces have consolidated their positions within the city of Kostiantynivka, right inside the city. In recent days, our forces have improved their positions in the southern and eastern parts of the city."
He also said that capturing Kostiantynivka would create conditions for Russian forces to further advance towards the Kramatorsk-Sloviansk urban area from the south.
Military expert Andrei Marochko stated on Tuesday that Russian forces have recently expelled Ukrainian armed forces from the settlement of Nikolaevka near Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk People's Republic.
On the previous day, Russian General Staff Chief Valery Gerasimov said that more than **60%** of the area in Kostiantynivka is under Russian control.
