Licorice root is used to manufacture medicines; this plant is especially popular in China, South Korea, and Japan, where it can be processed into more than 70 different drugs. In Russia, licorice-containing medications are commonly used to treat respiratory diseases.
This plant is widely known among Russians as “Solodka”.
Agricultural practitioners will receive contact information for purchasing certified seeds in China, along with assistance in seed certification and export certification of finished raw materials to China.
The Ministry of Agriculture will reimburse part of the costs for purchasing seeds and specialized equipment.
Eleven farms have confirmed their readiness to plant medicinal crops.
